RideFinders Featured in ACT 2025 TDM Global Impact Report for Count It. Change It. Campaign
RideFinders News
RideFinders is proud to announce that we’ve been featured in the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) 2025 TDM Global Impact Report for our Count It. Change It. marketing campaign. ACT is the leading professional organization for Transportation Demand Management (TDM), and the global impact report highlights impactful programs from organizations around the world that are advancing smarter, more sustainable transportation solutions.
This marks the second consecutive year RideFinders has received global recognition. In 2024, we were featured in the inaugural Global Impact Report for our Third Annual Caring Commutes Challenge.
Launched in May 2025, the Count It. Change It. campaign was designed to encourage commuters to rethink daily travel habits, record green trips, and understand how small commute choices can create measurable regional impact. Powered by our Cost Calculator campaign hero, the initiative used bold storytelling across social media, billboards, employer engagement, educational messaging, digital advertising and community outreach.
The campaign focused on practical alternatives to driving alone, including carpooling, vanpooling, transit, biking, walking, and telework. Messaging helped commuters connect personal savings with broader community benefits such as cleaner air, less congestion, and reduced transportation costs.
Measurable Results
From July through October 2025, the campaign delivered strong results across the region:
- 15,440 green trips logged, up from 9,903 during the same period the previous year
- 24% increase in carpool trips
- 152% increase in vanpool trips
- 68% increase in transit trips
- $524,217 in commuter savings, up from $266,618 year-over-year
The campaign also expanded awareness through Tri-Cities billboard placements and regional partnerships, helping grow engagement and trip participation beyond the Richmond region.
Leadership Reflection
“This recognition reflects the creativity, commitment, and collaboration of our team,” said Cherika Ruffin, Executive Director of RideFinders. “We are proud to continue finding new ways to connect people with greener transportation choices while demonstrating that every trip decision matters.”
RideFinders remains committed to helping commuters and employers discover transportation options that save money, reduce stress, and strengthen the region’s mobility future.
